The majority of MPs voted to allow a proposal for a single tier of local government in Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole to be made by the area's local councils without the requirement of an invitation from the Secretary of State.
The motion supported by the majority of MPs taking part in this vote, and the majority of MPs representing constituencies in England was:
- That the draft Dorset (Structural Changes) (Modification of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007) Regulations 2018, which were laid before this House on 29 March, be approved.
